Coco Chanel once said: “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”. Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like she could have been referring to this outfit. But it was in 1923, so no doubt she was not!
Coco has inspired so many designers in the world, here’s a video I like on 10 ways she changed fashion!
I love this look because it is comfortable in addition to being super elegant. And on top of that, everything in this outfit is flattering: the vertical stripes on the blouse as well as the high-waisted loose-fitting trousers, which lengthens my silhouette.
The two pieces are also easy to be worn separately. You can wear the blouse with a skinny jean for a more casual look or pair the pants with another blouse or skin-fitted top for a sexier look. I would even wear the pants with a cute crop top to go out on weekend! There is no limit to what we can do with two basic pieces!
