I love this Ted Baker dress, it simply suits me so well. It is perfect for the most formal parties, but still suitable for the office. A perfect mix for a work day followed by drinks when the sun comes down. With the addition of Nine West shoes(in sale) of the same color, we can see fluidity within this style (also some flat here). The detail of the lace and the bow on the heels accentuates the vintage look.

The word vintage appeared in the 1990s in New York, London and Paris. It is used to designate old clothes of creators or prestigious brands which later come back as a trend; styles from Chanel, Dior (my favorite), Yves Saint Laurent and others. In the early 2000, some designers had seen their creations sell at exorbitant prices at auctions. Some large fashion houses have seen the whole as an opportunity and have developed collections based on their old models.

When I wear pieces that go up to the neck, I prefer to have my hair up, it is so much more elegant! This dress is from last year’s collection, but between you and me; burgundy red is still fashionable this fall. We can find it everywhere at Ted Baker, but also Club Monaco, Jax, or Elisa Jay. In autumn, you must have at least one burgundy outfit in your wardrobe.
